Women and girls: www.girlsbestfriend.org The Girl’s Best Friend Foundation has tools, links, articles and other materials to help organizations help girls grow into strong, confident women. Their resource guide offers information to ensure that youth programs are safe and empowering for all girls. www.globalfundforwomen.org The Global Fund for Women is a grant making foundation supporting women's human rights organizations around the world working to address critical issues such as gaining economic independence, increasing girls' access to education and stopping violence against women www.ms.foundation.org The Ms. Foundation is the country's first national, multi-issue women's fund, directing resources to cutting-edge projects that nurture girls' leadership skills, protect the health and safety of women, and provide low-income women with the tools to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. www.sisterfund.org The Sister Fund is a private women's fund which supports justice and fullness of life for women and girls. They support programs that foster women's full development through the promotion of social, economic, political and spiritual growth. They provide accurate, reliable research and analysis to activists, journalists, educators, policy makers, and the public at large. It provides a forum for dialogue and idea exchange between donors and nonprofit organizations, and is a good resource for information on philanthropy in Wisconsin. www.guidestar.org Guidestar is a searchable database of more than 640,000 nonprofit organizations.
